Call Roger is a service operated by Jayson Craig, a sole proprietor based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (the "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). The Service is an AI call-answering platform marketed primarily to home-services contractors. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit callroger.ai, sign up as a customer, or interact with our voice agent on behalf of a customer.
We act as a service provider to our paying customers (typically a business). When the voice agent answers a call for a customer, that customer is the controller of the resulting call data, and we are a processor. When you sign up as a paying customer yourself, we are the controller of your account data.
When a caller phones a number that forwards to our voice agent on behalf of a paying customer, we process:
Calls are recorded and transcribed. See section 8 for details on disclosure.
If you provide us with personal information about a third party (for example, technicians on your on-call roster, or a caller's contact you ask us to follow up with), you confirm that you have the authority to share that information with us for these purposes.
We use personal information to:
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and substantially similar provincial legislation), our legal basis is consent (express or implied for the purpose, depending on context). For customers and callers outside Canada, equivalent legal bases include contractual necessity and our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service.
We use third-party processors to run the Service. Most of them store and process data outside Canada, primarily in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions other than your own, and may be accessible to those jurisdictions' authorities under their applicable laws.
| Processor | Purpose | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe, Inc. (privacy) | Payment processing, billing, subscription management. | United States, with global subprocessors |
| AI voice-agent platform | Telephony bridging, speech recognition, speech synthesis, and conversation orchestration for inbound calls. | United States |
| Twilio Inc. (privacy) | Outbound SMS notifications to subscribers. | United States, with global subprocessors |
| Transactional email provider | Delivery of receipts, call summaries, and service notices. | United States |
| Cloud hosting provider | Application infrastructure, databases, and inbound email handling for our domains. | Canada |
A current list of the specific subprocessors we use, including contact information for each, is available on request — email hello@callroger.ai.
Our customers may also enable integrations with their own third-party systems (for example, Jobber, calendars, CRMs). When you enable an integration, the connected provider receives the data you authorize and is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not control those providers' practices.
Where a processor is located in a jurisdiction with weaker privacy protections than your own, we rely on the processor's standard contractual terms and security commitments to require an equivalent level of protection.
Backups may persist beyond these windows for short periods and are overwritten on a rolling basis. We will not use backup data except to restore the Service.
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest on managed databases, restricted administrative access, payment data handled exclusively by Stripe (we never see full card numbers), and audit logging on key systems. No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a personal information breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to affected individuals, we will notify those individuals and the appropriate regulator(s) as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@callroger.ai. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or in conflict with the rights of others.
If you are a caller whose call was answered by the voice agent on behalf of one of our customers, please contact that customer directly to exercise rights over the call data — they are the controller. We will assist them in responding.
Calls answered by the voice agent are recorded and transcribed. We do this to provide the Service (delivering accurate summaries to our customers, supporting dispute resolution, and improving voice-agent performance on our own infrastructure).
Our paying customers are responsible for ensuring that call recording is lawful in their jurisdiction and for any additional disclosure their local law requires (for example, in two-party-consent U.S. states such as California, Florida, Massachusetts, Washington and others). See our Terms of Service for details.
If you are a paying customer and you enable SMS in your account settings, Call Roger sends text messages to the business phone number you provide. These messages are limited to your own account activity: summaries of calls answered on your behalf, usage and billing alerts you have configured, and (if enabled) a daily call digest. Message frequency depends on your call volume.
SMS is off by default. You opt in by checking the SMS boxes during onboarding or in your dashboard, which constitutes your express consent to receive these messages at the number you entered. You can withdraw consent at any time by unchecking those boxes or by replying STOP to any message, which permanently opts that number out. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not share your mobile number with third parties (other than our messaging provider, Twilio, solely to deliver the messages) and we do not send marketing or promotional texts to customer numbers.
The marketing site uses a minimal set of strictly-necessary cookies for things like security and form anti-spam. We may add lightweight analytics in the future; if and when we do, this section will be updated and (where required) we will collect prior consent.
The Service is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes affecting paying customers, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact your local privacy regulator. Canadians can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
